Serpentine Belt

The serpentine drive belt (different from a timing belt) is a continuous loop belt that snakes its way through and around your engine compartment to drive power to major engine parts, like the alternator, water pump, power steering pump and the air conditioner compressor. A technician will inspect the belt and let you know if it needs to be replaced.
